You absolutely do not. This is not 2K. The C Bags only move Hayward if Hayward has a down season and the C Bags are struggling in February.

I disagree, Hayward is good but Tatum and brown can fill his void. You throw AD to last years team and they are in the finals. Heck, they would probably push the dubs to 6 or 7 games IMO. I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't trade hayward for AD.

They went the ECF without him, so I would in a heartbeat too if that’s what it took

Not the most legitimate of sources, but he did call #cLeaveLand2.0 a whole year in advance and called Bron leaving Miami to re-up with the Cavs a couple days before it actually happened.

So dude's source does have an inside track in Bron's camp... And seeing how Klutch is part of Bron's camp and they now have...well you know where I'm going with this...

As much as I’m loving BI’s chance for a huge year playing with Bron, I’m throwing everything at NOLA for Davis, and it’ll probably take BI.

    It’s freaking AD.

BI, KCP, and Wagner and 2019 1st for AD.

The problem is KCP has a de facto no trade clause. He'd have to approve the move.

I’m sure Lebron could throw in a, “We just got you $30M in 2 years, now do us a favor for our new client.” Lol.

The only way KCP agrees to a trade this season is if he and his family are sent home. He was born, raised and played college ball in Georgia.

Either ATL facilitates in a trade as a 3rd party or Nawlins is just a 6 hour drive from where dude grew up.

Unfortunately, BI is going to be the asking price for sure...and if it's AD, you don't think twice in pulling that trigger. Sorry, kid, you're from N. Carolina and that too isn't that far from Nawlins...you and KCP can carpool.

Why would Boston be AD’s first choice? Kyrie just told them he’s re-signing, they signed Hayward last offseason, they just paid Smart, Brown will be getting paid in a year, they have zero money for AD. ???

Well, Boston has another top pick next year
They can just pick Zion and be done with it...

    Trade for him.

I'm not convinced they'd give up the necessary pieces to beat our offer though.

I see. That didn’t even occur to me because I can’t see them parting with the pieces to get it done. They’re already the East favorites and legit contenders as is with Irving and Hayward back, and they’re as good as they are because of their depth with players like Brown and Rozier that they’d almost certainly have to give up. I can’t see them trading Hayward either, he ditched Utah for them and spent and entire year out after an awful injury, it would look really bad on their part to dump him already.

Agreed. And while I'm not certain Boston would hesitate to look bad (they did it to Thomas), I think they'd hesitate to look bad with Hayward. He's highly regarded around the league, the coach's golden boy, and maybe the best player they've signed in a long time and they didn't even get to see him play. They're going to see how he does. There's a human aspect to not trading Hayward.

Here is Pincus on why the Lakers are the favorite:

Yeah, I don’t see either scenario as most likely, other teams can offer better than both Boston and us, but I am with him, I don’t see how Hayward isn’t included. Why would they want Smart for Davis lol? They’d have to include like Tatum AND Brown to even make that enticing same as he mentions they’d want Ingram and Kuzma or Zo from us. And yes, the C Bags did do Thomas wrong, but he got injured and they seemingly didn’t want to pay him anyway so they at learn traded him to an NBA Finals team with LeBron. The C Bags, much as I hate them, are not the Clippers, I can’t see them doing Hayward like they did Blake Griffin, it’s a bad look for a supposedly classy franchise.

I'm not sure there's another team that'd be willing to beat us AND take the chance on Davis signing there.

One of the things Pincus brings up is if he and the Lakers wait until next summer to make a move, we'll just have all the free cap space to absorb him if we wanted to. We'd be nearly in the situation where the Clippers were forced to settle on scrap heap s*** for Chris Paul. Are teams going to be willing to exceed something like Ball/Ingram/Hart for Davis with the knowledge that Davis wants out and we'll move heaven and earth to make room for him?

I don't see any way Boston trades Hayward. He's a white star player (Bird-lite) in Boston. Not gonna happen. My guess is they offer Brown, Rozier or Smart, and a boatload of draft picks. I can see Smart rather than Rozier because NOLA is already set at PG.

    1. He’s a white star in a city that loves white stars.

    2. His connection to the head coach.

    3. He signed as a free agent. It makes them look bad to future potential free agents if they trade a guy that they signed.

Dare we say "Clipper like" and that's never a good thing even if (god bless him) Jerry West is running the show. Blake Griffin says Hi who was re-signed to the Max contract and proclaimed the Savior of Humanity and look what they did to Him.
