I wish we had room for Nwaba but Hart is a better version of him.

Give me Robin Lopez straight up for Deng + picks and I’m good.

    Kawhi deal would be ideal.

    Per the Chicago Tribune:
Bulls have been operating as an over the cap team cause they have 13m worth in TPEs. But if they're renouncing all these players and exceptions while getting rid of non-guaranteed contracts, they can clear just north of 20m in cap space.

Faried makes 13.8m and Deng makes 18m, so they can easily take on either with that cap.

Melo makes about 28m, so they can go that route as well, but need some outgoing salary back to OKC.

But adding in a Kawhi deal with the recent Toronto rumor makes this all really interesting.

Btw, IT to Denver for the vet min just now...

Nets trade Lin to Atlanta and then absorb Faried from Denver. Don’t know all the details but sounds like we’re running out of places to possibly dump Deng.

ATL now has about 10m in cap space after absorbing Lin's contract.
Wrong 3way, but that means the Bulls are still in play. Is it for Melo or Deng?

Also, now we know what the price is for an expiring 21M...a protected 1st and a 2nd rounder. Next summer, Deng will be an expiring 19m. If we trade him this summer, I'm thinking we have to add 2 1st rounders to it at the very least. Maybe LA is thinking, they have a shot at dumping him next summer with nearly half the teams having 20m+ in cap space.

Think back to the Chandler to Philly deal...in total, the Nugs shed 34m in salary and it cost them a mid 1st rounder and 2 2nd rounders + 2nd round pick swaps. Nugs just set a brilliant market for our Dengdump...we need to exploit it asap.

Lakers gotta get on the phone with the Bulls and get this trade done....that type of pick protection is dirt cheap for dumping 21M (basically making the pick a mid 1st rounder).

Heck, we can even call ATL and have them reroute and send back the expiring deals of Lin and Dedmon. But the crazy thing is that if Lin sticks, then what does that mean for Shroe...can we link up with the Spurs to get him there?

You can even do what @Khmrp suggested with the queens. Let's just get a damn deal done already.
    #NoDengNoDeal

(still I can see why we wouldn't deal, cause next summer will have 15 teams with 20m+ in cap space and maybe we can dumpDeng's 19m then at a fraction of the price)

Deng for Robin works perfectly and would balance our team out just about perfectly as well.

Deng/2019 1st (top 5 protected)/2020 2nd/2022 2nd for Robin Lopez. The Bulls get a handful of picks for an expiring vet. They're a while from contending so one extra year of Deng doesn't hurt too much. Besides, Deng is a local hero there.

    Ball/Rondo/(Caruso)
    Pope/Hart/Mykhailiuk/(Newman)
    Ingram/Stephenson
    LeBron/Kuzma/Wagner
    Lopez/McGee/Zubac

Hell they can have Zubac instead of a 2nd if they'd prefer.

I like Nwaba, but don't see how he would really fit here unless we start trading some guys. We need a center if anything.

Bulls have 20.5m in cap space after moving off all their exceptions/offer sheets/free agent capholds.

RoLo and Holiday have a combined 18m in expiring contracts. Trade Deng/protected 1st/future 2nds/pick swaps.

Lakers have 15 on the roster at that point. Chicago gains draft assets for expirings and can still offer Jabari Parker a 4year 80m offer sheet.

Btw, Shams you can't answer the Woj bombs last nite with this bruh...

You gotta break the LA Chicago SA 3way deal my dude....get to it.

DA is f***ed up for this...you put Chicago, SA and the Lakers in one tweet together and don't expect the focal point to be Nwaba. What a d*** haha
