The value we got for him at #47 is tremendous. If he had normal (haha) or good length in the arms he would be a 1st Round Pick no doubt.

Also its crazy that he's a 4 year player and yet only 21 years old. Still a ton of growth and upside to be had.

The main things he's going to need to work on to really take his offense to the next level is his ball handling and ability to finish around the rim. Those times teams run him off the line where he can drive are going to be plentiful. A good floater game would be great!

Loving Svi out there. As BT says tremendous value. Beautiful stroke and has all around game. Smart and can stop on a dime and get separation. Quick reflexes, decent athleticism and looks to have the makings of a decent defender. We may wind up more excited with him at 47 than Josh at 30 last year. 4 year graduate at 21 sign me up. How good was Klay at 21? Reminds me a little with that stroke and similar size. He and Kuz will be having some after practice shootouts.

This kids gonna get some minutes this year. Not saying he's the next kuz, but he's good enough to play right away.
-He understands the game very well.
    -He knows his role
-He can shoot the v*** (look what you started, LT) out of the ball.
    -He's not a slug, athletically.

He looks like a poor mans Klay Thompson, which isn’t a bad thing at all. You know who else is a poor mans Klay? Kyle Korver.

    Just sayin’

I didn't know anything about this guy prior to the draft, but he's definitely gonna get playing time. Maybe more time than Stephenson.

I'm surprised with his athleticsm. He got up pretty high on some rebounds and one of those dunks. His first step is pretty nice, decent quickness. That jab-step/step back was a big time move.

So he's an athletic 6-7 guy who can put it on the floor, has potential for good court awareness and is a pure shooter with 30 ft range?

How does a guy like this fall so far in the draft? Legitimately asking. Isn't this the type of player that teams are looking for every year?

Other than that, glad he fell to us. Can't wait to chant Mykhailiuuuuuuuuk in Staples

You weren't in the draft thread? I broke this guy down a half a dozen times! :D He was a big favorite of mine.

He slid for a few reasons: 1) His short wingspan. Teams value length. 2) His athletic testing was good, not great. 3) He was a 4 year college player that didn't average a lot of points, so upside is limited. 4) He had a mature game in college so didn't show big leaps of improvement from year to year.

Teams in the draft want the big upside play so they pass on guys like Svi who are probably only ever going to be role players.

Why does everyone avoid the elephant in the room. You know why he fell in the draft.

Might have something to do with it too. Hadn't actually occurred to me. I don't see color.

I'd lock him up to a 3 year deal - as cheap as we can.

Does look good; wonder how much better huerter will be when it's all said and done.

I think if the lakers sign him using cap space, they can give him a 3-4 year deal with team options on the back end--the morey special.

I just hope as fantastic a job Rob and Magic have done that the first time they make a mistake we don't start hearing how bad they are...lol

    lol

I'm always shocked when he misses. Showed some real nice 'bounce' off the floor for offensive rebound and hitting Hart for the And-1 in the 2nd half was nice too.

Threes (and open jumpers) look like layups for this guy. No way to know if it translates to the NBA, but he’s the first “shooter” we have drafted late that has actually come out in summer league and you know, MADE his shots. This isn’t Anthony Brown, Ryan Kelly, etc, he can flat out shoot. He doesn’t hesitate and it looks easy for him. Trying not to get ahead of myself, but we may have finally found our “ic”, just with an “uk”, he reminds me of how those guys effortlessly launch and drain threes.

How was he available at #47?

They must really love Bonga because I would have taken Svi at that spot. He has the potential to be the best pure outside shooter wearing purple & gold in a long time.
