Svi is a legitimate 6'7", almost 6'8" in his shoes. His switchability will be a key to his success in the pros.

What did he say around 1:04 - 1:08 .... "everybody knows I'm pretty something for a white guy" ?

Vash called it. It's all about the "white connection" this year.

He said he's pretty athletic for a white dude.

Any comparison to Wayne Ellington as a player?

I think he's more Vujacic than Wayne because of his size.

No problem. Wayne is listed at 6'4", but I think he's smaller than that. Svi is a legit 6'7" in his shoes and should be far more switchable than Wayne.

Cool. I'll watch him some more...I like the shooting percentages. Just don't tease me like A. Brown; I thought he had a future, too. LOL.

That's totally fair. I think Anthony's problem was that a) he was a shooter who couldn't shoot and b) he had no other skills.

Svi is also a good passer and a competent defender so he should at least be able to do some things on the floor.

Svi can be relaxed as long as he hits 3s.

If his shot isn't falling (see Sasha, A. Brown etc) he will be gone after a year or two.

He must hit threes and do it efficiently...in games that is. That's his job. Everything else is a plus.

Watched him quite a bit at KU. He can definitely shoot and is a legit 6'7". Better defender than folks probably think. Hit some clutch buckets throughout his time up there.

I really like the pick especially considering it was in the second round.

Yes he is a fearless and gritty player that you love when he is on your team and hate when he is on the other team. But that's just a plus.

Shooting is not a plus though. Shooting is a must. It's been a really long time since we have had a reliable shooter on this team. I can't even remember when a Laker ever shot 40% percent from three on decent volume. We have had a bunch of shooters that suddenly couldn't hit a shot after signing with us.

I honestly dont think that will be an issue with him. We will see of course, but his shooting is legit.

I sure hope this kid is the real deal and adjusts to the NBA quick-like because we need shooting something fierce.

Dude was burying his threes, had some nice quickness on that first step, decent hops, very nice first showing. If he can bring even some of that shooting to the real games he will find some playing time. I’d be shocked if we didn’t sign him to a contract soon.
