With sirron honking LB on Facebook as only sirron can honk :giggle: .... I'm surprised we don't get more visitors / lurkers that come and look at this unique and great site and then choose to become active.

Anyone else belong to NextDoor.com? In my immediate area that is upscale in town and I target and limit my posts and replies to by choice I have like 3,000 neighbors. I have been figuring to at some point start a thread addressed to Lakers fans and post a link to our site and explain all the reasons it is the best around. I've done this here in different threads a number of times unsolicited as the spirit moved me, which is probably why I haven't yet, if I do, gotten serious in this formal thread.

However if and when I do that I will expand my neighborhoods for the post to as many as I can in my area and include the regular unchosen areas. Just guessing it could easily bounce the number of homes and distribution to more than double that 3,000 figure.

What do you think would be the best timing? Wait until after the draft and FA all shakes out and then we are hopefully, please god, a dynamic and powerful team again? Or just before the start of pre-season or of League games? Timing wise here what's maybe the best bang for my buck?

My guess is right after any big trade or acquisition would be a great time to talk LB up

Honestly, and this sounds super cheesy, but I like being able to come back after months, or even years, and still see the same familiar people along with cool new ones. When it hits the fan, I know I can come here for all the breaking info in one place.

General question: Is there, or should there be, a thread on avi’s and names as far as what they mean and why you chose them?

I think there was one in Open Court quite a while ago. It’s probably buried pages and pages deep if so. You could always start another one, those are always fun.

Definitely I'm not. But I was hanging out with my old man this weekend and he asked if I'd seen the movie and I said "Yeah but it's been forever and the only scene I remember is the 'I got no where else to go' scene" and we kept quoting that line this weekend at appropriate moments. When I logged back on to LB today and saw this thread it immediately popped back in my head.

Wait, I had no idea Richard Gere looked any other type of way than Primal Fear.

But age ain't nothing but a number....people tell me all the time that I'm "wiser" than an elderly Asian woman walking laps around the park....whatever that means.

While appropriate, sadly someone beat you to it a couple pages ago.

I tried to visit Lakersground to see if there were any topics of interest for the first time in 6 months to a year?

That is one ugly, bland, uncreative forum. If you like a comment, you have to quote it and say something. You can end up with so many pages of basically nothing to wade through. I didn't make it five minutes.

I super appreciate this place. Can't even use cool emojis there unless it's a link. Way behind the times.

If you ever figure out what it means, let us know. I too am confused and hoping to unravel the mystery.
