I think you are misunderstanding what a mindset is.

Meanwhile we have this. What do you guys think? Is it at least a little progress? Certainly better than the one upmanship, d*** swinging threat of nuclear attacks from both sides a few months back .... right? The hydrogen bomb attack threats I didn't like much, figuring our leader is going to get us in one stupid war or another. And yes I'm aware of N. Korea's history of pledging de-nuclearization and then breaking the promises later .... for decades.

Or are we just getting "worked" here? Is that fat little f****r outsmarting Donald with his (Donald's) seat of the pants, neophyte world stage diplomacy?

Probably. I’m glad there are talks at all though. But, that said, it’s a little uncomfortable to see a despicable human being like that getting any praise.

No, Donald, we aren’t going to treat you like a dictator, the living god to essentially a cult the size of a country.

We’re getting worked. To clear the confusion of the daily drama of trump, I would suggest you view his moves, domestically and especially internationally, from the eyes of Vladimir Putin. In other words just ask “What would Putin do?” I think you may find that he would co-sign most, if not all, of the moves that trump makes. When you make the moves that our communist rivals would make then that is how you know we are getting worked.

And the economy was doing just fine before trump came aboard, so don’t use current economic indicators to wash over this vile, repulsive traitor of a president.

Wow! I guess those historically low unemployment numbers aren't enough for you or the fact that the US economy is the best in decades. Give credit where credit is due. The liberal MSM has taken a hold of most Americans and warped their eyes with fake Russian collusion reports and Trump being an a** does not help his case. if there is something there, we should have gotten it by now. OPEN YOUR EYES. The US is the World's only remaining superpower, how in the blue hell can a foreign power influence your election. Don't be easily duped by the losing party who controls the mainstream media.

Can you separate it and show causation, instead of merely pointing out correlation?

Do you not care about the integrity of the inistitutions of our government? I do. That is what makes this country special relative to any in the world, especially China, Russia, North Korea, Venezuela, and the like. We are a country organized and operated by the rule of law. That understanding CANNOT be compromised. This president could give a horse’s a** about the rule of law or the traditions and decorum of the office. That’s not acceptable to me.

I don’t get overly impressed with the current unemployment figure as it was low prior to trump. It’s even lower now yea, but at what cost to our trade relationships and our future costs from the tax cut? Reasonable minds can debate that, which is fine. What I do know is that we are at the peak of an economic cycle and a recession is just around the corner regardless of how drunk you feel by the low unemployment rate, so that figure will change upward as normal. By the way, in your admiration of the unemployment rate, don’t forget to question the types of jobs accounting for it, those that are underemployed, and those persons no longer seeking employment, just like when Obama was in office. Are these middle class level jobs, or are you flipping burgers part time. (No disrespect to food service as I like burgers.)

My point is the economic figures will cycle naturally, but the strength of the government must be steady through any president’s term and that is more important to me. The current fool in the White House is testing the integrity of it daily. I can’t see for the life of me why his egregious behavior, there is too much to single out, is acceptable or ignored to where the unemployment rate or a $500 tax refund makes everything alright. That is a whore mentality. There will be a price to pay for what he is getting away with and it is too dangerous for my liking. OPEN YOUR EYES.

If this was true, we'd literally revolt against some of the worst public servants we've ever had in the history of our country. Literally revolt against them and overthrow them and institute new political parties.

You “overthrow” through the vote. Another beauty of our system.

Except voting, especially on the state level, is more or less rigged. Californians have been flirting with splitting up for decades now because the people in charge don't have any idea what they're doing or what their constituents want. They're completely out of touch and ineffective.

I agree to a point, but I think full voter participation would better reflect the voting public and overcome those rigged elements of the system. I mean the voting system is rigged in the sense of the electoral college maybe, and money influence on ads, misleading ads, etc., but that is the power battle of politics. I don’t know that it will ever completely change, but it can be improved. I still think voter apathy is more detrimental to election results than anything else. But we are talking about the integrity of the process, which is my point about the system as a whole. As written, it all makes sense, but allowing people to exploit and violate the rules and norms leads to it’s collapse.

It should collapse. We've been lead to believe we have a voice, but for the most part we don't. If we really had a voice, would we have had an election between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump? Are those really the two most qualified candidates? It's nonsense.

The political powers in place are essentially oligarchies with families like the Kennedys and the Bushes in office for decades determining our lives and manipulating their family's wealth while we toil away for the "American dream". It's a broken system that's lead to the collapse of our independence, the decline of our education system, and ruined the economy of California. Burn it down.

a couple months ago the narrative was Kim and Trump were going to start WWIII because of the negative talk between them.

Now they are making progress and no one gives credit. If Obama did this he would've earned his Nobel Peace Prize.

Oh ok, that settles it. I like your confidence in the master negotiator and his supreme knowledge that apparently, as he tells it, just saved us from nuclear war. Haa. He can barely answer a foreign policy question for god’s sake. But I bet Russia and China are pleased with that deal for sure.

Hope you looked a little deeper into that deal and the checks and balances that were ignored in getting to it. Integrity of our system, norms and traditions compromised yet again. Cult of personality.
