Yeah I'm not sure I'm trying to go get Damian Lillard. I could see it happening, but I'm not sure that's my move. My first and only concern is nailing down George/LeBron. After that, let's start talking about what other veteran we might need to get. Do we need rim protection? Do we need more spacing? What's the deal when we get there, but first... let's get there.

And I love that thread. 85% of them saying we'd still suck and the Rockets would still be better and 15% saying we'd be elite and they'd stop being NBA fans. :D

So cryptic :D , she had to know fans were gonna run wild with this. The post is from NY, people in the comments pointing out LeBron and Kawhi are both in NY right now. Nothing can even happen right now and people are going crazy with speculation, actual free agency is gonna be nuts.

I sure as hell wouldn’t trade Zo, Ingram, and Kuz for Lillard. He’s a fantastic player, but that’s 3 players on rookie deals that are major contributors and are just getting started. My preferred plan would still be get LeBron and PG, trade Deng, retain Randle and ALL of Zo, Ingram, Kuz, and Hart, and fill out the roster with ring chasing vets, hopefully even keep Lopez with the room exception. I’ve changed my mind on him if we get those 2 key stars, he’d be very valuable.

I’m not sure how much she actually thought out her tweet considering her Instagram post before that had a “#Tequilla” :D

Watch us now get a tampering charge for drunk social media posts by our owner, the same day the kids were chastised for their social media shenanigans

:D Oh man, I use this site 99.9% of the time on my phone, and I don’t see people’s sigs on here unless I turn my phone sideways, which I never do. So I didn’t even see your signature until you brought it up. We’re on the same page, it’s the best plan to me, keep almost every one of our young core and add a couple stars to it, don’t trade 2 or 3 of them away for one more star and destroy the depth we’d have.

I think both Lonzo and Ingram will be traded for a 3rd star if Lebron signs with us .

Hart and Kuz will be kept because they are both on very cheap deals .

    couple thoughts:

man, houston fans have got to be the cockiest bunch i've come across. they're certain lebron (or any player, really) would choose them over la (or any team, really), basically cuz AWESOMESAUCE! it's ridiculous.

the discussions of nobody "taking the lakers' trash" is absolutely hilarious considering their whole plan rests on someone taking their trash for lebron.

it's also funny that they turned on their beloved insider the second he had something positive to say about LA's chances.

finally, the cries of foul are also chuckle-worthy: YOU GUYS BLATANTLY CHEATED TO GET CHRIS PAUL! it was obvious to everyone. shut up, seriously. it's as bad as you all blaming the refs (!!!) for losses.

as for jeannie's tweet, has anyone considered that it might be in connection with real's info: like "never underestimate" the pettiness of dan gilbert?

if the lakers ARE being investigated for tampering, i want an injunction against any opt-in and trade scenarios, as they basically require cba circumvention (unless you're sticking your head in the sand, which we do for houston but not for la, apparently...). i'm tired of two sets of rules in these instances.

I doubt we give up Lonzo and Ingram for Lillard. But Lonzo and Kuz with Deng for salaries and a first rounder? I can see that. A team with Ingram, Lillard, Hart, and Zu with nothing else on the roster? There's like zero cap wasted space. Lebron and PG would undoubtedly sign with us at that point.

That’s really weird to me, it can’t be anything free agent related, because we can’t speak to free agents until July 1st. I can’t imagine it’s anything big.

I would guess it’s related to Real’s connection news about possible tampering. If we already have a wink wink deal in place I have no problem paying a big fine as long as Silver doesn’t block the deal.

Weezy, you wonderful naive, beautiful, trusting soul. One of Magic & Pelinka's biggest selling points was their ability to get on the level of other teams' somewhat-but-not-really legal tampering practices. We've been ushered into the 21st century of acceptable cheating, and it's lovely to be here.

Ramona says the Lakers are actually VERY scared of the tampering charges at this point so they're not doing what we think they're doing.

They're letting the players do their thing behind the scenes. :D

:D I should have used quotes. We can’t “talk” to free agents until July 1st. Our guys can talk to guys who can talk to guys though. And our players can talk to guys, the soon to be free agents can talk to eachother. My point was, Jeanie wouldn’t be tweeting about anything like that this far ahead of free agency, considering we’ve been fined twice for tempering, that would be foolish on her part. So if she was tweeting in reference to anything big I’d have to assume it was trade related if it were actually about anything of note.
