No he doesn't. He thinks that it's eventually what he will get. As opposed to what he would be willing to pay, which is what you alluded to. But sure, continue, don't let me break you streak.

So now he's speaking for other people, speaking for me and what I alluded to and allowing me to continue. But I'm the high and mighty one???

Gotta work on the Zen, but you definitely nailed the Master part.

It's all good man. I'll stand by my comments that I think the amount Randle will get is between $18-20 million and could be slightly higher. But I'm not going to say what I think he's worth though.

Whether its $18-20 million, higher or less. All those possibilities and the contract will still be a very tradeable asset either way you look at it worst comes to worst. The $20 million/year Randle could be making next year and the years after that will be small in comparison to all these super max contracts and the salaries naturally going up in the next 3-5 years.

It's a nervous, anxious, climatic time for this fanbase. Come July 1st and the weeks after that emotions good or bad will be other worldly... #BuckleUp

Appreciate the explanation, but it isn't necessary. I agree with everything you said.

It seems I rubbed at least one guy the wrong way with my "#PayJules" crowd comment. Not sure why? Or even how it's considered narcissistic...but I'm a Bronsexual. So I guess it makes sense...

When I addressed the #PayJules crowd (it was mostly tongue in cheek towards my guy LT), but there are fans with the expectation that Jules will get 18M to his max of 25.4M. Then there are fans saying pay the man whatever, cause he deserves it.

I personally don't think you break the bank to keep Jules, but you certainly match anything in order to prevent losing him for nothing.

All of these numbers are predictions/projections anyways. We have to let the market dictate Jules's terms and that can't happen till free agency starts.

All I was alluding to is that certain fans believe Jules will have money thrown at him this summer and I used what cap experts like Coon as well as Bobby Marks have projected...in that, these gaudy numbers some of you expect Jules to get, ain't simply the case.

I know for sure nearly every fan WANTS Jules on a team friendly deal, but a majority expect him to get paid. I'm just bringing up the point that some so called "experts" think otherwise. So at least consider recallibrating those expectations.

But we'll find out soon enough. Won't we?

Now where's my ladder?...I need to mount my burro and GTFO..

I'm surprisingly really excited this year for the draft. It's deep and I think even outside of the Lakers picks a ton of things could happen with trades and such. When not many teams have cap space like this off-season teams usually try to make their moves, changes in the draft.

Agreed. I wasn't on Kuzma at all, but his college tape looks almost nothing like what he did in the pros. The Laker scouts are great.

That's a great point. And given Larry Coon's little video and how few teams actually have cap space, the Lakers would be really smart to try to take some of those options off the table by trading into that cap space.

I'm really excited to see if we can pull off a Deng trade while also retaining a pick or two in this draft. This summer is just captivating.

Agreed, this is one of my bullet points I'm looking out for come draft night right after we make our selection for #25. Does it get reported right before or after we make the pick that we have traded the pick. I have to believe if we make any trades during trade night it will be Deng related. If we don't make a trade then it means we must be realizing that we'll have to include those future picks as we've discussed in various thread for way of getting out of Deng's contract.

Look at it this way. Here's a what if scenario that's already being answered with physical and quantifiable data and tests of our individual eyes. And from all appearances is now a professional basketball regimen for Randle.

What if Randle to the best of his ability executes Bryant's physical / strength / conditioning work ethic along with his constant attention to all the finer points of all of his basketball skills .... for the next 5 years and then 5 years after that? I mean he's going to do this from what I can see. Don't f*** this up!!

What kind of a basketball player might he become by the age of 28 or with that progression every year ... considerably sooner? A super or close to it star perhaps?

And while he'll never be Kobe smart on the floor he's an intelligent person and the Randle is too dumb to be a championship piece thinking is wrong and so outweighed by all the above.

LT, I have little doubt that Randle will become a star in this league. He's got the physical tools and the determination to be great. It's just a matter of time imo.

    Keep Randle. That is all.

Even if it's $25M...keep him. You can't lose a guy like this for nothing.

And yes, I do think he can get a lot better and will be a key piece for us with LeBron and PG coming here....
