I don't quite understand why some of you are so enamored with getting a rim protector. Our defense is predicated on switching and Randle is very effective in that role. A rim protector is not a necessity but rather a luxury to have on the bench for certain opponents. We can get those players (ie McGee) for cheap, so a proposition of such player to replace Randle as a full-time C is a non-starter. When the game gets tight I'd much rather have Randle switch onto a Curry or Harden P&R than a traditional rim protector. Not to mention we can count on Randle making his free throws unlike DeAndre or Capela who'd be glued to the bench in the final minutes of the game.

Finally someone with some common sense here. Would much rather keep Lopez on the cheap. Adding DJ makes little sense to me. Why bring on yet another paint clogger who we can’t even put on the floor in crunch time because he can’t shoot free throws? If the goal is to beat Golden State, having DJ on the court does nothing to help you get there unless Javale McGee is on the floor too. You need bigs with the versatility to switch everything. Randle is the ultimate Warriors slayer, and is tailor made to play against them in a playoff series because of his toughness, athleticism and versatility.

We need to find a miraculous way to re-sign Randle if the plan is to bring in Lebron and George.

    Death lineup:
    Ingram
    George
    Lebron
    Kuzma
    Randle

The thought of Steph getting switched on either five of these guys is orgasmic.

I was going to write a big response because this:
Is pretty insulting. But then you said:
    So nevermind. You do you.

I think it works really well, but not perfectly that's all. I'm also mentally preparing myself for LeBron and George to want him gone. if you guys are right, I'll be very happy.

And for what it's worth, on the court Ball is an absolute dream for a high profile player. High efficiency, low usage, fantastic defense? That's what these guys dream about having at their point spot.

i think lebron would be especially sensitive to availability. ball and ingram missing 30% of the games probably looms as large as any on-court issues, imo.

It's a copycat league and I get why folks want to go match up vs the dubs. But instead of being the copycats, I rather we encourage others teams to do the copycatting.

I remember much of the fanbase complaining how the Lakers switched everything on defense on everyone during the season and at times to our detriment. That type of defense isn't sustainable, especially if we're adding vets this summer. They're going to need their legs for the postseason.

The way you pick on the Dubs is getting a rim runner in a PnR with Curry. On defense, you take away their driving lanes relegating Steph to a jumpshooter and KD to an iso guy.

Jules is a great asset to have for sure, but you cant switch everything continuously on defense and you cant ignore a rim protector for the likes of Jules...really? We wouldn't even be having this discussion if Jules were a legit 6'11"-7'0".... Unfortunately he ain't.

Right .Cause it's right there on the 12mil some claim he is worth .Tops.

While literally each and everyone one of "pay Randle people" said that 16 is right where it is and that 18 is the absolute upper limit .

Zen, you know that ain't true. But since it has nothing to do with Luke (oh wait... It's Puke to you, right?), your recollection might be poor on this one dude.

The majority of the #payJules crowd had 18M per as their lower end... With some saying dude deserves to break 20M.

But at the very least, I know with certainty as to what I said. Start at his caphold @12M and squirm till we get to 15M, where hopefully he doesn't make it more uncomfortable.

b*******. PROVE IT. Time to put up or, you know...

You came in all high and mighty with that quote that supposedly proves you right and now you massage the reality to fit your narrative.

The burden of proof is yours.

Show me this "majority" that said they think he is worth MINIMUM 18 or GTFO with your self aggrandizing .

I'd love Coon to be right, but I don't see Randle and Mintz being okay around that range when $12 million was on the table to start the year. I'm thinking its more in the $18-20 million range.

Also note the difference between what we THINK he eventually will get and what we THINK he is worth FOR US .

The former is probably higher than the latter .

Bruh, calling you Zen is an oxymoron.

Anything needin massaging is your a** cause you clearly fell off the wrong side and landed on it this morning.

Here's a thought. You want to contradict my claim...then YOU go find the proof to refute my claim. That burden to refute is on you.

In a matter of minutes, I already have one fan giving 18M as their lower limit. (Sorry to drag you into this BT).

Now I'm high and mighty and aggrandizing...says the guy with Master in his handle, commanding me to go prove it, when you did no such thing trying to refute my claim.

I ain't got no time to put up with your puke inducing nonsense.
