OKC was supposed to be one.

Boston tried, but two main cogs were injured. Kyrie was previously part of the Cleveland 3 headed monster.

Pelicans had an interesting top 4.
Minnesota put together an interesting group.
Houston and San Antonio had two All Stars and addl pieces. So did Toronto.

Superteams are not a super stretch IMHO

If LeBron said to Maginka that he will come if we get a 3rd allstar, and he wants that all star to be Marc Gasol (Memphis is rebuilding. Marc is in win now mode, their timelines don’t fit anymore).

If Memphis’s asking price for Marc Gasol was a sign and trade Randle + Ingram, do you do it knowing that LeBron to LA will essentially be a done deal by adding a all star center who’s window of winning is essentially the same as Lebrons?

Again, it’s a high price to pay but if it means guaranteeing LeBron comes. It’s essentially a trade of Randle and Ingram for Gasol and LeBron.....

    I mean the lineup of

    Gasol
    Kuzma
    LeBron
    George
    Ball

We just need Kuzma to get better on defense lol.

I would say no to that. I like Marc but not at the cost of Ingram.

Yeah I think he's referring to a couple teams that already exist. I also have a feeling once LeBron and George go to LA, Houston will pull off a trade for someone else. Boston, LA, Houston, Golden State will all be super teams. Maybe Philly finds another piece too.

No to Marc, he said "f*** you" to us, not that long ago. Now, let him rot in MEM.
    I rather resign Lopez.

Nah. Gasol is too old and plays a position that isn't vital in today's NBA. I honestly think we should kick the tires on Damian Lillard.

Now where was it that he was last season...where was it, where was it???

    Oh yeah, LA.

Now where could he have gotten his intel...where could he have gotten it from, where???

    Oh yeah...

Btw, David Bauman of ISE agency is Bogut's agent...guess what other marquee free agent is an ISE client? Free agency this summer could be a crazy game of musical chairs....time to Boogie.

I think they'd trade McCollum before Lilliard... just a guess.

But in the same vein, I think the teams more likely to blow up this summer are Washington and Toronto. Toronto maybe tries to hold on until the deadline after a coaching change, but both of those teams have to know they invested poorly.

Possibly. I have seen articles written about Portland though too. They are in cap hell with zero chance at improving.

Oh yeah they really f***ed themselves with their candy contracts handed out to whoever was on the team. They dumped Crabbe. Need to dump Turner. Mo Harkless is making 11 million. Meyers Leonard is making 10.5 million. Their only really great contract is probably Al-Farouq Aminu.

They also traded for Nurkic so they'll have to pay him. They're in trouble. But I think if they trade Lillard, then they're just saddled with all these bad contracts and no money maker. Who is paying to come watch CJ McCollum by himself?

That's alot of coin for KD and then you got Dae-Dae who has said he wants to get paid when his time comes up...so the dubs better enjoy this while they can.

Regarding Portland, their GM, Olshey, was on with Woj during Espn's draft special last week and he continued to state that the Pels revealed foundational deficiencies and that Paul Allen (their owner) has given him the green light to "fix" it. Its definitely a tough fix tho...but could be interesting to see what they do.

I think the idea is they can bottom out faster and just not pay Nurkic and wait out those contracts. For us, if we sent them a resigned Randle (granted he agreed to live in Portland), Josh Hart and Lonzo Ball. That basically jump starts their rebuild and in two seasons, their cap clears up. and they have CJ, Lonzo, Randle and a ton of cap space. The biggest issue I see with it though is other teams can come with a stronger package and with Lillard under contract for another 3 years, the threat of signing leaving when his contract is up holds no weight.

I'm not sure I want to give up that much for Lillard anyway. :D

I don't know. It's an interesting idea and Lillard has aleady said he'd play for LA if it wasn't for the Blazers.

I'd give up that package in a heartbeat. You have Kuzma and Ingram as our youngs, George and Lillard as our prime/entering prime, and Lebron as our veteran leader/win now guy. If you can somehow land a couple centers like maybe Lopez for the room exception and Noel for the vet minimum, that's almost a perfectly constructed team.

    So Savory calls Lillard.

    I've called DeAndre Jordan.

    We'll give Randle to tada.

    Hopefully we get all three.

I'm not calling him. :D I'm just saying we should kick the tires on him cause he's the type of player I'd be willing to move our youth for.

somebody always falls current draftnet mock has bamba @6th to orl, maybe they hesitate on that since they need shooting n guards, dall is the key to getting bamba to fall, if they pass on him he'll last till 7th imo
