Man I just throw this crap at the wall, I’m never right (except for loving the Josh Hart pick on draft day) let me have this one. :D I wasn’t FAR off, most everyone that was a major contributor was relatively healthy, Randle, KCP, Lopez, JC while he was here, Kuz. We only really lost Zo and Ingram to any extended time, Hart and Nance for a little. Up until like the last month or so of the season we had a pretty dang good year health-wise compared to the last 5 seasons or so. KCP and Lopez played 74, Kuz 77, JC 53 (I think he maybe missed one game before being traded), and Randle played all 82, that’s not bad at all. Ball still played 52, Ingram 59, there were no MAJOR, serious injuries thankfully. I don’t count IT in that either, in time I hope to forget he was ever a Laker, like George McCloud.

Until these past few games, this team looked lost without Ingram and/or lonzo. It seems like they only played like 20 games together

Missed by 1 game, but we had injuries. This team is capable of playing .500+ ball if everyone is healthy and we bring no star player in the offseason. So, I fully expect to see us in the playoffs next year; again, if we're not playing totally depleted.

Anything below this season's total would be unacceptable.

I don't care of KCP and Lopez and Randle stay or leave. The FO needs to figure out a way to win more games, whether by re-signing some or new signings.

Well with the last 2 and the growing amount of Big men in the league needing to be neutralized in the +/- department at the least ....

All I can say is that's easy for you to say.

In the last 10 years, only 10 teams have won less than 20 games in a season.

    Bucks
    Knicks
    T-Wolves
    Lakers
    Sixers
    Bobcats
    Cavs
    Nets
    Wizards
    Kings

Two of them were coached by Byron Scott.

It's tough to establish a winning culture. Especially for a rookie coach. While he hasn't been Brad Stevens amazing, Luke has done a very respectable job of establishing a culture that continues to learn and improve each year. If you take away Deng's massive salary, Luke managed to win 35 games with an $85 million roster dependent upon 20 to 23 year olds.

Luke did a tremendous job this year and I won't hear otherwise, even from @ZenMaster. Luke's hand has not been a good one, but he's put forth a great effort. Every player swears by him, other coaches respect him very much, and he's built a sterling reputation within the organization.

He's had bumps and bruises along the way and he's still learning the job as much as some of our young players, but he's doing a very good job.

Heh... I actually think he improved quite a bit post ASB. Still, the inexplicable treatment of Randle likely cost solid playoffs contention (we likely would not have made it anyway).

I think we finally crack 40 wins again and fight for the 8th spot in the playoffs. It's gonna be tough, but I expect us to land some folks this summer to get us over the edge even if we have to make some trades to get it done.

To get to 35 wins this year with Ingram missing 20+ games and Zo missing 30 games (ridiculous!!!), and the midseason trade, and just injury after injury to key role players (Nance ealrier in the year, KCP missing games due to his trial, Hart missing 6 weeks, and IT2 missing the rest of the season)...it's truly remarkable and I couldn't be happier with the result.

If Ingram and Zo have respectable health next season, plus the expected growth and development of ALL of our young players, we should be in the playoffs. I'm expecting playoffs next year basically regardless of who we sign...

Aren't we still following up on this season with the wins talk? Waay premature to start calling next year with the roster going to look a lot different surrounding our young talent one way or another.

I thought I read some folks discussing next year. I'm fine with waiting on that discussion.

Yeah we have to. I mean we don't have a clue what the roster is going to look like. From what I am remembering we usually break this thread out again a few weeks from the start of training camp.

I pegged us at 50 wins or so provided we're healthy. 15 win improvement and probably a top 4 seed.
