    Go Utah Jazz!

    :Kobepuking:

Brewer sprained his knee though, might miss the first round, Utah just might be able to take this one if they win tonight and get home court advantage. Spurs/Warriors first round, Blazers/Pelicans, you can see the changing of the guard happening this playoffs, new teams and stars getting in.

never liked him and thought he was the reason they won't win the title even with Harden and Durant. A ball hog and does not have the Kobe temperament to be a winner

I don't know man. Kobe himself said that Russ is a fierce competitor and the closest thing to him he has ever seen. That he always plays 100% and wants to step on your throat. Kobe was wrong before though so...

Russ is a beast! Irregardless if you think he stat hunts or if it’s impactful or not, one thing averaging a triple double shows - and you can’t take it away from Russ - he showed up every single night for the last two years and gave maximum effort.

Whether he won or lost, he left it out there on the court. And to me that’s Kobe mentality and I appreciate it. No one else in the league did that and that’s why his teammates love him and that’s why he is a leader.

He's more Iverson than Kobe imo. Relentless but also reckless. He just needs proper guidance, perhaps a mentor like Larry Brown.

I have one simple issue with Westbrook. He's not a team first player.

His extremely questionable decision making skills especially down the stretch is mind-bogglingly laughable. He may have shot several clutch/game winners but his countless misses are total bricks. I've seen him play for one whole season and if his game this year closely resembles that of his entire career then his passing skills is overrated. They aren't creative, not at all impressive and it sure as hell doesn't adjust to the defense. 99% of which are coming off kickouts and pick and roll. Break his team's designed plays and he's broke and there's not a lot of those. But that's a Donovan's problem.

He's ultra terrible off the ball. Plain and simple useless. Also, every time his team makes a run to build a lead or catch up, he then takes this insane midrange bricks that go unnoticed which brings me to my next point. For a guard considered to be one of the best, he has absolutely terrible jumpers. He keeps it rolling when it's on but it's a rarity.

Then the rebounding. It makes everything else overrated about him underrated when we talk about his rebounding. He literally, most of the time leaves his defensive assignment just to chase for some pathetic rebounds if not steals from his teammates. His defense or lack thereof is also frustrating when he can actually commit and be good at it.

One great thing about Westbrook is the energy, athleticism and drive to play 48mins a game, consistently. His explosive first step and drive inside the paint is at times unguardable. Too fast, too quick and I don't think any guard in the league is capable of guarding him one on one. I like his percentage passing. Knowing who's hot and not. But that's only up until 5mins left in the game and then it changes.

Don't get me wrong. Westbrook individually is a performer, but his team will always be a loser. Unless he develops Kobesque midrange or Currylike 3pt shooting or refrain from taking shots those two take, any team he's leading will always lose a championship.

If and when he realizes it's best for his team when he plays passing and driving guard and both Melo and PG turn it on in the playoffs, they actually have a shot of going really deep, their best 4 players can the best in the league when they're on. Otherwise, they're no more than a 2nd exit at best.

    Bow!

The difference between a title team and not, sometimes, is one or two plays. OKC was up 1-0 in the 2012 NBA Finals. Then Harden went catatonic. OKC was up 3-1, 2 years ago in the WCF, they lost on a couple missed shots. It's just as easy with Westbrook being a 2 time title winner if a couple shots go in.

As mentioned before I think all bets are off about what PG will do or not until the playoffs are done. But I'll say this, I don't think it looks great for us. OKC vs. Utah first round might be a tough series, but I think OKC with home court advantage and seasoned vet stars in Westbrook, PG and Melo takes it over a young and scrappy but playoff unproven Utah crew. So I see them getting to the second round at least.

I don't know if they get over on the winner of Rockets/Minny (I am not at all sold on the Rockets getting through that first round), but I think they will put up a strong fight and might even make it to the WCF. With at least a 2nd round playoff appearance I feel like it's unlikely for PG to jump ship. As ever, though, my conjecture now doesn't really matter as everything has to play out and you never know.

Melo in the PO used to be a great player (same thing with team USA). PG is awesome in the post season and Russ is Russ. I would rather face GSW without Steph than OKC. The moment George was traded to OKC i'ce been saying our chancec of getting him are slim to none. Let's see how this plays out...

Okc will not get past Utah, their defense is amazing and gobert is going to cancel out Adams. Melo is anti clutch, will falter under pressure, Russ will play inefficient hero ball. While George will be pissed not getting the clutch touches he used to get in Indiana being the man. I see Utah winning in 6
