I like Option C... Hate Option A ONLY because Randle is not included.

Not wanting LeBron here, for me, has nothing to do with his age or talent. It is his entitled attitude and circus like atmosphere that follows him. I see our young team differently than other young teams. We have the perfect blend of talent, speed , athleticism, interchangeability, attitude combined with a soon to be top level coach. The culture and concepts we are building on are in complete contrast with LeBron the person. We have multiple future all-stars and a point guard that will redefine the position. Randle is destroying people to the point few want to even guard him. Ingram can do it all. I could go on about each one but I hate long posts so I won't. The other thing is they are all likeable and easy to cheer for. Almost non-existant in today's sporting world. Leave my young Laker team alone. They are the next dynasty.

LLLLL is an all time great, and still playing at a great level. I think it's foolish to think the mileage won't be catching up with him soon, and I don't want to pay him the supermax on my team. If I had him all along like Kobe, I get it.

LLLLL doesn't have a loyal bone in his body, and is all about himself. I'm just not interested in having that self absorbed narcissistic douche anywhere near my team. I just don't want him. I will not sell my soul to the devil for what may or may not be an expedited run to the Finals when you can tell it won't be long anyways.

When I see LLLLL getting love in this thread....

It's like some of you guys are willing to overlook all of his flaws for an extended playoff run next year. To me the impatience isn't worth the cost. Both literally and figuratively. Don't let him wear the Golden Armor.

    If healthy.

No depth is not a good idea with high mileage James, and Davis has yet to play close to a full season due to misc injuries. I'm not a fan of depleting my roster for that combo, but it does sound formidable.

That's one devisive poll but how the flying f*** are Laker fans picking C over B haha? Some of y'all are really on one!

Getting AD means we probably re-upped Jules and he didn't work out with PG & LaBron. Flip him with any combination of our youth/picks not including Ball & BI and try to draw that as the line in the sand with any negotiations. I would even take on a bad contact to bring AD here... And AD here means he ain't in the hands of darth aingius and the evil empire.

Laker fans....I love y'all but at times I love laughing at y'all. Most of y'all got over DLo pretty quick...im sure y'all won't miss Jules/Kuz/Hart too much when we're running the Dubs ragged in the playoffs.

Anyways, PG ain't coming without a brotherhood, so option C is obviously a distractor. 55% of y'all failed. The other 7% of y'all who picked D are straight trolls haha.

So, most of you still don't want LJ? He is the key to all this; and for those of you who don't want him, if you want George, you are probably going to have to take James.

Do you honestly think George can be in a room with Magic, Bryant, James, Pelinka, Walton, and say no? That isn't happening, but for that to happen, we need LJ to commit here.

I am welcoming LeBron here, circus and all. And I have mentioned several times in this thread that I have major reservations about LeBron on and off the court. But when one of the greatest players of all time is on the line, you pick up the phone.

I would be fine holding on to the youngsters as a Laker fan. Even with the understanding that the team might not have a title shot, ever. It's tough being a team fan in the modern sports world. But watching the kids grow into legitimate players and a cohesive playoff team would be gratifying. It's a different kind of gratification that lends itself to team loyalty, which is uncommon and something I've only ever felt with our Lakers.

I think most on this board want to have it all - no LeBron, loyal homegrown stars & title aspirations. Others think it's just unrealistic to have all of that pan out. The truth is somewhere in the middle, but I don't blame either side.

I can't help but think of our rivals and the Kyrie/IT swap. The players dictate much of the transactions, and that's just how the NBA works now. I don't see that changing soon. That's why you pick up the phone.

To me, taking LeBron the player has always been a no brainer. So what if he’s declining? When you’re one of the best players ever at your peak, you can slow down a little and still be a top player in the NBA.

But I also feel like it’s a deal with the devil. I still can’t help but wonder what he’s hiding with that thick beard and worry he has a MAJOR skeleton in his closet. I’d hate to see whatever success he brings get tarnished if that skeleton comes out. So I say bring him here if you can, then root for it to work out and hope my suspicions are completely wrong.

No way you give a no trade clause. Offer the max, and flip him for major assets. Trade him to Boston for all their draft picks, and watch Bron and Kyrie melt down

Looks like being self entitled, circus running check my stats guy is worse than banging prostitutes, smoking crack, driving drunk, waving guns and smacking people around. I get it :D

Also, i hope no one from this board voted D. People who did are either r******* or trolling. Getting rid of DLO, JC and LNJ just to resign Jules and bring some vets? OK

I’m not opposed to this, it just isn’t my #1 preferred choice. I’m not a big fan of mercenary championships, I feel it’s more satisfying to win with a team you’ve grown and then added stars to. I grew up watching Shaq and Kobe, and to finally win with them in 2000 was super satisfying. Then again watching us build with Kobe, Odom, Bynum, key bench players like Ariza and Farmar, adding Pau to that and finally winning was super satisfying because it was a lot of the guys I had been rooting for for years finally getting us titles. Obviously if we could attain Davis while retaining Ball and Ingram I do that in a second, but I don’t think that’s possible, I believe it would take both of them as a start, dude is a superstar in the making.

Again, not opposed to a plan like that, just not my personal top choice. Titles are sweeter to me when I like the players who win them for us. The Warriors built from within and it was sweet. The C Bags kept Pierce, the Heat kept Wade, the Mavs kept Dirk, the Spurs kept Duncan/Parker/Ginobili. Those teams won with their guy/guys. If we trade our entire roster for LeBron/George/Davis, it isn’t the same team anymore, I don’t know these guys, I don’t love these guys, I haven’t been through the tough times with them. I’d become a fan quickly, sure, but it’s not quite as sweet, it’s a quick-pay roster, a mercenary title run, just not as personally meaningful. I don’t think that makes me crazy or a bad fan on anything. It’s sort of like if the Lakers had traded away everyone we knew and loved (yes I realize these Lakers aren’t Magic, Kareem, Worthy and co and havent won us anything) in the late 80’s for like Bird, Dominique, and Drexler. Those weren’t our guys, it wouldn’t be quite the same.

neither shaq nor pau was "ours". and if we must draft our star player, we'll have to go full philly.
