^Did not know that... Kickers are often regarded as after thoughts but they are usually the difference between winning and losing. Not good going into the post season.

The new kid got off to a really tough start but ended up passable. We'll see if he gets a second chance.

But we clinched! The Rams are back in the playoffs!

Wonder how that search is put together and how intense it is if he doesn't seem to be the Guy. To find a new kicker just before the playoffs. Guess they don't have 2nd stringers with potential? Probably not worth roster spot? I think they picked the new guy up "somewhere" after he hadn't made it elsewhere.

I read he was a stud for the Chiefs in the preseason and that he was the best of 12 candidates at tryouts last week. Most teams don't carry two place kickers on the roster, they're not a valuable enough position. It just sucks because the Rams have one of the best kickers in the league in Zuerlin.

The speed and solid tackling of that Atlanta defense was surprising... The Ram offense was a bit off but not all of it was on them. Falcons can beat Philadelphia on the road. Foles is good just not an MVP player that scares defenses.

That was a definite hold in the end zone on Watkins. No, it wasn't a case of letting them play just the refs missing the call.

The main culprit was without question Pharoh Cooper. Holy hell. Two turnovers that lead directly to points, but more importantly kept the offense off the field.

The team is a year, maybe even two years, too early. They need more veterans out there.

Great year though and an awesome turnover. This division is going to be tough next season.

Watch out for them Niners... Looks like Garoppolo is a solid QB for them. They have an improving defense. On offense, just needs a few more playmakers here and there. I see a revival of that rivalry. They even had a closely contested game this season too which is a portent of possible things to come.

Yeah they're still a couple years away, but the fact is Garoppolo is real. He looked fantastic in limited minutes. Their defense needs to be rebuilt and they need some playmaking weapons, but they'll be a tough out every week.

I still think it's the Rams' division for now, but that can all change quickly. The Cards and the Seahawks are about to go through a rebuild, but they'll always be tough teams.

They should take it again next year barring something crazy. Seahawks all they have is Wilson. They have no running game. They could lose Jimmy Graham to free agency. Cardinals don't have an Arians anymore so they are in flux. An aging Palmer, Fitzgerald and Peterson...an inconsistent defense.

On the game itself, I was taken aback how Atlanta was able to get five to six yards a pop running the ball as it wore on.

Yeah well the defense was out there for more than 2/3 of the game if I remember correctly. Even a good defense will get tired and we're not a great run stopping team anyway. The Rams could really use a more traditional inside linebacker instead of Ogletree. I like Alec a lot, but he's a weakside back. We need a big meathead, physical MFer in there at mike who can stuff the running lane. Too often Alec gets washed out.

I was able to tune in near the end of the second and stayed on. All I heard was Cooper's miscues before that. 13-7 at that point. I thought they'd shake off the jitters and get going. The defense for the most part kept the Falcon passing attack bottled up.

Yeah the offense was also underwhelming. Goff started off shaky, but after that I wouldn't put too much on him. There were just too many young'ns nervous about their stage. They needed someone on the defensive end who'd been there before who could make a big play. This team was built on big plays and strong special teams and they both failed when they needed it Saturday.

Great bones though here. Draft a lineman and a linebacker and we're looking up big time. Maybe look for a veteran in the secondary too.

Peters is still young. I saw a ranking where he was the best corner stats wise over the last few years. Second was Richard Sherman.

He's put up, without exaggeration, Hall of Fame numbers thus far in his career. He's been tremendous. He is also a diva and KC absolutely did not get along with his personality. Hopefully a new city is a better fit for him.

    Here's a PFF article that's a fair analysis of the kid's strengths: https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/fantasy-football-metrics-that-matter-marcus-peters

Really, really, really talented, but limited by his lack of versatility. In Wade's defense I have a feeling he's going to shine.
