I'd be utterly shocked if he's there with our pick, but yes I'd take him without question assuming he's healthy. He is all arms and legs right now. I want to see him strengthen up.

I still long for the days when I didn’t care about the draft because it means we’re winning and don’t even need help.

But with the Front Office’s recent track record of late first round success, I think this will continue to be something fans keep up with.

    That alone is pretty impressive

I remember you and I were high on Semi Ojeleye last year for the 27 pick, and he was projected a few spots higher than ours as well. I don't know how he fell right into the hands of Boston at 37, but it can happen. Same with Bell, I thought he was going to be a good contributor as well and GS snagged him right up as he fell through the draft. Granted we made out with Kuz and Hart given how they've panned out perfectly for us.

Saw most of the Michigan - Wisconsin game yesterday. This kid Ethan Happ stood out. Scrappy...had some nimble footwork...not offensively challenged...very good free throw shooter...plays smart. Only a Junior though but...

    Whole pack of Badgers...

Boston uses Ojeleye sparingly, but they've got defensive wings for days. He hasn't shown a lot of growth which is unfortunate, but he's a solid depth piece for them. I vastly underestimated Kuzma and Hart just like the rest of the league.

Hey if Gafford is there, that's a huge win for us. I really like his activity level and his defensive instincts around the rim. Obviously he's a huge leaper. Hopefully the Cavs start losing more games. I'd love for them to finish somewhere in the high 20s for us.

And while we're on the subject, it seems like Rob really wants to keep the pick around this season. He was practically drooling over the idea of it during his interview on ESPN 710 this afternoon.

Was 4 minutes into it and I had to stop...he does look stiff and ungainly. If we can't land one @therealdeal talked about (Robinson/Porter) use the pick on a back-up point guard or competent 4. We have Thomas Bryant who appears way better...also's Nance's son.

Oh I’m sure they already have a player scouted that no one’s really eyeing right now.

Maybe they can turn it into two picks like last year and use one to trade.

Right. Our late picks generally seem to come out of nowhere and I expect the same thing again this year.

Considering we are planning on competing again real soon, I think we're going to draft another multiple year college player that's ready to contribute right away.

As backup PG options go I like Landry Shamet out of Wichita State. He's a 6'4" sophomore with tremendous shooting ability. He's a gamer with great feel and a good size. He's a fun player to watch and someone I think would fit really well in this offense. Most mocks have him going after us because his ceiling is probably perceived lower than others, but I think he's a great fit for us.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is also an interesting name and fit but he's expected to go higher.

De'Anthony Milton if he enters the draft could be interesting.

Meanwhile they missed out on Porzingis, Booker, and i know it's early, Mitchell and probably more on this draft. To be fair they may not have the sway to get who they actually want for lottery picks

Johntay Porter (6’11 - 240) out of Missouri looks to have a decent all around game for a PF/C. Good post game, good jump shot and range, a nose for rebounding as well. He’s got some good heft to his size as well, but still looks mobile enough.

    SI.com has him going #26:

Bleacher Report has him at 23:

We won't draft him, but this is insane!

    A 7 foot 1 inch player with a 43.5" vertical

Sucks that you have to pay to read the rest of the article
