    Couple thoughts.

"While it's unlikely they'd ever trade Lonzo specifically because of his dad, they could decide to trade him for other reasons—"LeBron doesn't want to play with a 20 year-old point guard" reasons"

Bulls***. He would be all over 21 year old Lonzo. So to speak. :Fishwink:

"Even if you think LaVar and the Lakers will suddenly be covered rationally, there's an even more basic reason to refuse to engage: Who is taking LaVar seriously? Has anyone—any respected voice in the entire basketball world—come out and questioned Walton's future in the last week? Who should Magic be looking to convince?"

^I seriously really don't see the first one happening. This team needs a closer that score when needed. Ingram is not there yet. James is more of a facilitator which we have with Ball AND Ingram in spot minutes.

Because they aren’t good enough. Still combined 0-7, so they were scoreless.

    Nothing fake about that.

Sitting on the bench in Lithuania vs Melo finishing his best 2 years in HS as BMOC and Gelo driving his Masarati to UCLA every day. What does LaVar do now ..... start a campaign against the coach because the guy doesn't know how to use them?

This is how it goes in Europe though. Young people tend not to play. Even Zubac got limited minutes over there which made him hard to scout. The only way young guys get minutes is if they're out of this world talented like Ricky Rubio (not sarcasm, he's genuinely one the greatest passers to come out of Europe).

Come hard to take this crown! :D

I'm getting busier, so I probably won't post as much in the coming months.

Ric Bucher went in on Lavar with an assist from other team officials in his new scathing B/R piece:

WTH .... Bucher is lurking here and ripping my LB thoughts on LaVar the a-Hole. And do note for any left of you who think it's harmless and just ignore him .....

"There are also indications that players around the league have taken note, souring their view of the Lakers as a free-agency destination. One Eastern Conference executive overheard his players saying they had no interest in going to the Lakers "and having some old man criticize us and the team" The old man is literally jerking with the multi million dollar plans of his son's employer.

All riding on the back of Lonzo while the old man screwed his younger two kids out of at least a partial college education at UCLA. Hell he ripped the last 2 years of HS from LaMelo. Jack**!!

Yeah, you could argue LaVar is a bigger name than Lonzo. That’s why LaVar is top 10 in all star guards voting. Yawn.

Hmmm. Good for them. Did they drop down to the junior competition again for that game? Some of those guys were Melo's size. Still they apparently were hitting their shots.

Is this comparable to G League level ball? This family is all about hype now, except for Zo. Remains to be seen what NBA teams, if any, will fall for it because that’s what this show is all about now.

this is high school scrub level. not even AAU is reality. Gelo should have 50.

Against men they had goose eggs.

I'm sure it will get better, but I can't imagine projecting their draft stock against that level of competition. Gelo will have to develop something amazing, or being in the G league is a pipe dream.
