You guys get that Ball brothers play on a junior ( < 21 or some such) team, right?

Aren't they also under 21? So... same competition? In fact I think the youngest kid is now the youngest American ever to play in Europe or something.

There you go. Melo grows up as a European star before coming to the NBA. His flashes look great. If he can become all that you got a goldmine going for the BBB. Gelo just makes for good additional brand and family story. Just leave the subversive Lakers talk out your mouth Lavar.

Every time LaVar opens his mouth, the chances of additional Ball brothers ending up on the Lakers goes down.

I would think so. Magic and Rob have to be really pissed at him as well for the Luke bashing. That s*** was subversive and especially after they had formally asked him to tone down the public negativity about the team and how his son was being handled. I truly can't click on his clips to watch him say anything else. He just annoys the **** out of me as neutral starting point.

First 5 mins of this. Exactly my feelings on the situation as I’ve stated over and over, ignore. Reggie is as ridiculous as Plaschke.

Don't even listen to Michael Rappaport's take on Lavar and Lonzo, holy crap that was 10 mins of stupid I can't get back.

"Why are we using the excuse that Lonzo is young?"
    "Trade him for Elfrid Payton."
"Lonzo might be the worst starting point guard in the league."
"Hit Lavar lower, ship Lonzo out, cut him, send him to Lithuania."
"Lonzo doesn't want Lebron to come to LA."

    Suffer with me.

Honestly. Has anyone listened to these idiotic kids? I mean as great as this franchise is. If the day comes we really have three ball brothers on this team I will lose it. That this idea is discussed so much is a disgrace.

Or he'll take his kids home and put them back in school .... ?

LaVar Ball claims 'there's no coach that can' stop LaMelo's long shots

    :Nope:

    http://lonzowire.usatoday.com/2018/...es-no-coach-that-can-stop-lamelos-long-shots/

.... from another "Ball" article on the same site where the coach already may be raising his eyebrows to the jacking up of shots:

LaMelo Ball admitted that his “shooting was off” during his professional basketball debut alongside LiAngelo Ball, but not off enough to change his ways. Despite Virginijus Seskus, the head coach of Prienu Vytautas, using what little English he speaks to deter Melo from launching his Stephen Curry-like triples—of which he made none in a 90-80 win over Zalgiris-2 in the Big Baller Brand Challenge Games—LaVar Ball’s youngest son showed no intention of taking his on-court adventurism down a notch.

“He told me that, and he don’t really speak that much English, but I don’t know,” LaMelo said during his brief postgame press conference at Prienai Arena. “I just play how I’m supposed to.”

"If LaVar’s own support of his 16-year-old boy’s shooting habits are any indication, Melo has the approval of at least one Big Baller-sized backer to shoot from deeper than deep as he sees fit. Come Saturday, when LaMelo will likely make his Lithuanian (LKL) League debut against Lietkabelis, we’ll see just how tolerant Seskus really is of his youngest pupil’s signature habits."

It's a miracle Zo turned out the way he did. Despite his dad, it seems.

To me it seems he was almost born with his basketball gifts, the way other PGs with his vision seem to be, which is why they are so rare, and his brothers sure don’t seem to share it. The rest of his game, scoring, defense, etc, was taught and learned I’m sure, so credit to his father and coaches there. He seems to be a well liked young man and a pretty good dude though, so I’d say away from the cameras and microphones LaVar is probably not (or maybe WAS probably not) as crazy as he seems. He’s probably a goofy guy, but not to the extent that this media circus has made him seem. He probably staterted getting like this when Zo was getting close to going to UCLA, and he realized he could use that platform to start talking NBA and his own shoe company and such. For most of Lonzo’s life I’d guess he was a pretty normal father though.
