So this is what a veteran is supposed to look like for a young team. Love what he brings to the team.

Great game for Brewer. Houston fans were ragging on him all night. It was nice to see him stick it to his old team.

Remember who his #1 fan has been ;) ... I know hes streaky in shooting but like Lonzo he just does everything else right.

I wouldnt be shocked if around the trade deadline a playoff team calls us trying to grab him if hes playing good. Id personally like to bring him back. He could be the MLE signee?

    Bump from page 2.

He's been providing some solid vet play. He's very limited out there but he has been helpful for our currently injured team.

someone in Gametime chat calls him sewer

c'mon, he's not THAT bad. He's a solid bench player. Reliable for minutes, makes some solid plays every game. Just don't ask him to go one on one or make too many decisions with the ball. Let him stay within his game. Defensive effort, slashing, and 3's.

I want to agree with this, but for sure it's true for the dollars spent.

We actually don't know what Deng could do this year, but management made it clear he's not in the plans. Sucks to be Deng for sure, but would he bring less to the table than Brewer? I really don't know how far his game fell off since he didn't get much run.

That would be me who calls him Sewer. He, like KCP, gambles too much on D for steals, which then puts pressure on the interior defense resulting in fouls for our bigs. Hart is textbook if you wanna see great, fundamentally sound D.

Then that horrific behind the back pass for a turnover was truly AWFUL! A vet did that... think about that for a sec. if Randle or any of the rooks did that they would be yanked immediately!

I see with Sewer and KCP a lot of Sasha V. fake hustle. It just pisses me off!

^That is harsh BMJ BUT funny as hell... Something Johnny Most would come up with. Well, actually he did when he called Rambis that back in the 1980's. Same with the Laimbeer/Mahorn tag team.

I don't see anything fake in Brewer. He works his tail off on the floor which is how he's stayed in the league. No he's not the brightest guy and yes he makes some baffling decisions, but that's why he's not a starter or even a regular bench player. He's a great teammate though and a professional. His energy is often infectious and can help change a game from time to time. I'd love to keep him around.

I don't think it's about trying to call his own number as much as he just wants to be aggressive all the time. Sometimes it's really useful and sometimes it's not. He doesn't really know any other way to play though.

Brewer will try to make a play when no one else would. Call it a necessity or a last resort in his own way of thinking on the floor.

GC, I think you summed it up right there.

I should also clarify that he does try hard and seems to be loved by the guys. He just makes some seriously boneheaded decisions for a vet and gambles a lot like Sasha with steals, trying to take charges (which have a low probability of success), etc. Whether that is fake or not, I don't know but the way that KCP and Brewer play D certainly reminds me of Sasha.

I think that is why I appreciate Hart so much. You can see how one should play D.

The difference is that Vujacic will get on your very last nerve. He is a better shooter than either one. I don't recall Vujacic doing bone headed plays out there or maybe it is just way too long ago. Brewer and Pope are by far the better athletes but are more prone to wtf? moments. I give each one the edge defensively. On that note, Vujacic's defensive memorable sequence was that Game 4 last second matador moment against Ray Allen in The Finals 2008.

The recent notices about Hart makes me smile as I liked his play at 'Nova. Disciplined...thinks out there. The KISS approach as in Keep It Simple Stupid.

Sasha gambled so much and he also committed many stupid fouls that drove me bonkers. Remember in the Western Conference finals against the Suns how Sasha committed that stupid flagrant on Goran Dragic. Stupid.

Sewer gets on my very last nerve. I can't stand watching that guy play because for every good play he'll come back with a multitude of stupid plays.

Oh that one... We had a big lead then Vujacic gave that infamous head butt. Jackson, the staff and the other 11 players wanted to shoot him.
