6th MOY candidate for nothing seems like a shame. Hope we can at least get draft picks back for another potential Hart

if we can get a pick out of it, great but i dont expect it....cap space is at a premium next season with only bout 7 teams with legit cap space n we know league hates on us so i dont think theyll want to help us much

Saw interesting opt with jc n orl....i think works...jc n once of the 2nds we got from chi for henzoja/mack....Mack is owed 6mill next season but only $1mill is guranteed. Mario would just be a trial, i doubt he last in the nba after this season but if he works, could shoot him 1+1 type deal like ennis got, still relatively young n uber athletic, just can't shoot

B.R. just reported the lakers tried to trade Clarkson for A. bradley weeks ago. And now Bradley is on the trading block.

Bump for the Griffin trade that included Bradley.

Lakers get JJ, Favors, Noel, Devin Harris.

Noel could possibly stick this summer (especially if those LaBron rumors are true) and D. Harris can come in take over for an oft injured Zo, which further allows him to not rush back to action if necessary. JJ provides some scoring punch that we'll miss with JC and if not, then we buy him out to send him to a contender. Favors, can also possibly stick this summer for the right amount. Add future picks and cash necessary to complete the deal. Open up max space this summer.

Utah ain't a free agent haven and even lost Hayward. You lock in JC on a team friendly deal, who replaces Hood who may have cost more in free agency. You bring in Zu to back up Gobert in case of injury. You bring in Powell who is locked into a team friendly deal and costs much less than Favors.

Dallas gets their hometown kid in Jules. They also get Hood and both of them are RFAs, so we know Cuban is all about getting his guy at the right price. This summer is said to be a bad one for free agents (see Niko pushing for team option to be guaranteed before getting traded to NOP), so dictating terms on Jules and Hood is something Cuban can redeem himself with in how Noel was handled. The price is steep in taking on Deng, but Dallas did say they would absorb bad contracts for the right assets. Since they have been striking out on free agents and this summer may not be any different, they control the action with Jules and Hood. We can also add a future pick to make the Deng dump much more palatable.

I got no proof, but I think Wade would follow LeBron to the bench over here if LeBron came. Wade has also been very complimentary of the Ball family.

I was thinking last night, what about a trade down to Atlanta at #30.

    Deng/#25/Zubac/2019 1st Top 14 protected for #30

For Atlanta- Taking on the salary of Deng lets them move up in the draft five spots as well as take on a 1st.

For LA- They dump Deng's contract while still netting a 1st round pick.

Now that's the real deal ;)

But I would try to work out a 3 teamer with the Bulls.

Especially if you consider that the Bulls @ 7 will most likely need to move up to go get Bamba. We can provide them some additional assets if they or ATL take on Deng. ATL is rumored to be shopping the 3rd pick too and the Bulls would have to get ahead of Memphis (with Marc Gasol looking to get traded) and the Mavs to really secure Bamba.

I'll try to work on something for the Bulls, but I feel like in that scenario, we're not going to be able to provide the kind of assets they'd need? I'll check tomorrow.

Just get rid of Lonzo, the league is about shooters or playmakers and he’s neither. Lifelong Lakers fan and his play is average and his distraction is more than any free agents want to be apart of. Good kid but Lavar is intolerable. Ruined the Laker tradition and the Laker way. Cut the kid loose

This is the first I’m hearing of Lonzo not being a playmaker. That’s like his #1 listed skill. Guy pulls plays out of thin air.

There you go LaVar ... dumbest marketing plan ever you being as Bmez1214 says, "Lavar is intolerable". You create all the hate for yourself and want to sell expensive things and get support to do amazing things. Yet we have a brand new post ... welcome Baez .... and this showing up in Lakers discussion.

But NO not a good take on Lonzo the basketball player this rookie season when healthy and in the coming years starting this year as you can see the physicality he is adding with the gain in muscle upper body and a frame that's going to carry it like Magic's carried his later and strongest builds .... that we're seeing already from the early pics.
