If he earns minutes, then Welcome. Odd signing though. Luke must like him.

There's that familiar Lakers' buzz we use to feel until the dark days ended it.

    uhhhh cool?
    :KobewaitingTW:

this is totally a luke signing. but i'm kind of bummed out for zu. i'm guessing management feels like he needs a lot of work still.

but then again, bogut will probably play about 20 games before getting hurt

Could be a really valuable Practice Player since he knows the fundamentals of Luke's system...

    What does this mean?

"Doing an end-around on this Andrew Bogut tweet to avoid the 140 barrier..."

Speaking of Kobe, I wonder Andrew Bogut still hates Kobe.

twitter has 140 character limit, he's posting a pic of his post rather than getting limited to the 140

Some of our guys definetely could use Bogut knowledge on how to set a great (illegal) screen.

This is a good bet overall

The downside of this signing would be taking minutes away from smaller lineups with Julius/Nance at the 5 ... we'll see

Love the signing. Am thinking about if that takes away from small ball doe.

If Lopez gets in foul trouble i could see things getting problematic so great depth and insurance to have as a big body defender. Experience with luke will allow a smooth transition. Get in shape and well see what how he looks. Definitely a nice lil suprise ;)

So we STILL have the exception?

No more roster spots, but I'd say we're primed for deadline moves depending how the depth chart shakes out.

He's a heck of an asset and expiring Contract on the cheap.

iirc: even when healthy, dallas couldn't keep him on the floor last year because his footspeed compromised the defense. between him, lopez, and zu, the lakers better commit to a scheme that allows for a slow 5 man. they exist, but it's limiting in some ways. good news is that most teams don't have shooting 5s, but rim-running 5s are also a problem if your second pick and roll guy doesn't move well because the pgs get into the paint at will.

Was shocked when I saw this, but the more I think about it the more I like the signing. Good move.
