The Hernandez thing is weird. He spent his entire life trying to act hard and convince people how gangster he was despite growing up in a nice middle class community...then he does the cowardly thing and ends his own life.

3 suicide notes found in his room, in his handwriting. Case closed, IMO.

I don't know how everyone else feels about the situation, but I was a little uncomfortable with ESPN's coverage of Hernandez's death. I woke up to "breaking news" on like 3 of the 4 ESPN channels, sports center and Mike & Mike were dealing with it, and it was all a bit too much of a tribute for my taste. Showing Hernandez's life story practically, footage of his high school playing days, talking about the Patriots visit to the White House that day, it felt a little too much like a tribute to me. I don't know why it got that much coverage in the first place, it feels like these stations eat this stuff up and almost enjoy having the story to run, especially since it's NFL related! I'll never understand how ESPN can run at least an hour long NFL show daily (if not 2) 365 days a year, but whatever. Point is I found it distasteful, guy was a murderer, and he killed himself in prison, he didn't warrant all that coverage and life review any more than any other prisoner sitting in that place for murder. But hey, he played football! And for the Patriots!

I agree Weezy. I don't know why he got so much attention. A female co-worker who knows very little about sports called me and asked what I thought. Strange to me. I've talked to 3 females who find him gorgeous (???) So that might have something to do with it.

We're long past the time the media needs to stop making stupid people (more) famous.

That's really gross, dude is a cold blooded murderer. He didn't even show emotion in court during his trials from what I saw, probably a psycho. But he's got a great physique and could run fast and catch a ball, so let's cover his story like he's special.

Scary really. And since it's popular to bash any ideology that isn't liberal, nobody is really taking into account how bad this is.

When the opposing view point is suppressed, that's a country in deep trouble.

I don't like Fox News, and I'm not a fan of Hannity, but I saw a video of one of his segments where he basically said the entire main stream media is out to destroy Fox News. I can't say I disagree with him. This seems like a coordinated effort to end everyone there. That should scare people regardless of where we fall on the political spectrum.

Roger Ailes and O'Reilly bare the burden of what they did. Hannity is in damage control. The other networks want a larger piece of that pie that is up for grabs with O'Reilly out.

The other networks might be out to destroy Fox. But it's about $$$ IMO. When Obama tried to silence Fox, the other news agencies came to their defense, which tells me it's not partisan ideology.

Any Fox bashing is mainly because they're the top dog and they're the face of Right Wing news.

    Pic link isn't working.

    "
MANCHESTER, England — At least one explosion, which may have been a suicide bombing, thundered through a Manchester concert arena on Monday night just as a performance by the pop star Ariana Grande ended, in what the police described as a “terrorist incident.” They said at least 19 people had been killed and 50 wounded as panicked spectators, including adolescents, screamed and fled.

There was no immediate word from the police on the precise cause of the blast, but it evoked the terrorist attacks in Paris in November 2015, which included a deadly assault inside a concert arena where the Eagles of Death Metal had been playing.

“This is currently being treated as a terrorist incident until the police know otherwise,” the Manchester police said in a Twitter post.

People at the concert at the Manchester Arena said they had heard what sounded like explosions at the end of the show, around 10:30 p.m.

Make sure we don't say who's responsible.

So true. I lived in England from 01 to 04.

I'm interested to see how Brexit turns out. Family, soccer, and drinking at the pub are their 3 passions and they're not in that order. Drinking is against Islam and they are forcing the English from drinking in many parts of London. It'll come to a head soon. Today's events will speed that up.

He is a douchebag as most politicians are, but reporters/media trying to brainwash people is why the right is winning all over the World.
