What do ya'll think? I'd embrace the Rams again in a heartbeat. I've been following the NFL forever and ever since the Rams left, I've latched on to teams with guys I like. Right now I like watching the Colts with Luck and Seattle (although I hate the fans).

But if the Rams came back, I'd embrace the hell out of them. It'd be great to rebuild the Inglewood area into a new booming part of the Los Angeles landscape.

LA needs a team. Might as well be the Rams.

The Rams were part of the LA sports scene for such a long time that bringing them back would make sense. Liked them during the d***erson years until he uttered the famous line "Let him run the 47 gap!"... Ellard, Everett [before the phantom sack and Jim Rome], that great O-Line.

Even as recent as Steven Jackson was one of my favorite RBs to watch of all time. Great combination of size, speed, and aggressiveness.

I don't think I could name anyone from this team now though... Tre Mason was just drafted I think.

I'm not a fan of a stadium in Inglewood imo. Sure, 20 years ago when the Lakers were still playing at the Forum, but Inglewood has a lot of it's shine over the years since then.

It has to be around Downtown, in a more accessible area. I also think if the Rams are to come, they be rebranded. That would do wonders for a large market like LA and bring in new fans rather than "wake up the old LA Rams fans," the few that they are.

I personally would like to see the Chargers in LA. They have a decent team, a somewhat set fan base for being the only "So Cal" team in the past 20 years. Qualcomm is a terrible stadium anyway and they barely sell out games there, sometimes other fans (Broncos/Patriots) over take the locals, it's embarrassing.

I'd hate the Chargers here. Don't like them in San Diego either actually. They might be a decent team, but I don't like watching them and maybe that's because I don't like Rivers.

I think there's more Rams fans than you give credit to. Not to mention at least two generations of NFL fans that haven't had a team to root for in their city. The Rams would get a great welcome here. I think a rebranding wouldn't be terrible, but there's plenty of reason to keep the team name. Maybe a new logo.

And I think it'd be a great help to the city of Inglewood.

Ya know...I like Jeff Fisher. He's a good coach and he likes to troll the opposition kinda like someone we used to have at Staples who now resides in Gotham.

I like Fisher too. I know I shouldn't get my hopes up, but it's too late. I'm ready to welcome back the Rams. My arms are wide open like that Creed song from the late 90s.

What is it about Rivers that most people can't stand? I can't even put my finger on it, but I don't like him at all.

Although talented and one of the grittier quarterbacks in the league

    1. He's a baby. He seriously whines and complains like child on the field when things don't go right. He sometimes blames teammates for his mistakes which is rather annoying.

    2. He's a choker. He's won some big games, has had some of great game winning drives, and only behind Brady behind December/January win percentage, but he just doesn't do it when the Chargers really need him consistently. As long as I've watched him, it's usually never the receivers dropping balls or anything, it's his passing starts to trail off.

True. You guys have been to the playoffs plenty of times the last few years and haven't done any damage.

Speaking of QBs, what's all your takes on Manziel and the Browns? See enough of him to write him off?

Loves to take chances during the game but his small frame will get him IR'd if he keeps running the way he does. Undisciplined...immature and full of himself. I snicker every time I think of what Bengal coach Marvin Lewis called him. Opposing defenses would like nothing more than send him to the trainers table. The Browns owner had already indicated that he along with Gordon need to get their act together as professionals. All the things Manziel is lauded for I've seen already with Doug Flutie which the latter did without the flash and better too imho.

I'm not high on Manziel. What I saw of him in limited time last season wasn't good at all. Not very accurate with the throws. Power wasn't really there for deep balls. He scrambled too often and didn't protect himself enough.

If you're not the most accurate QB (Rodgers), you better have a power arm (Joe Flacco). If you've got neither AND you're undersized?... I don't like it.

I am soooo happy Jerry Jones didn't go with his desire for Manziel, and went with the line instead.

Chargers, Rams, I don't care. Just don't give me Raiders and their fan base.

    UPDATE:

So it appears there's been great headway made this week. Kroenke has agreed to share his stadium in Inglewood which is something he'd previously resisted. This opens the door for the Chargers to join them in the Inglewood.

Meanwhile Bob Iger has backed the Carson project that would house the Chargers and the Raiders.

People in the organization know that the Chargers are for sure leaving so either situation works for them. They have no backing from the city at all so they will play in LA next season.

The key to this becomes whether or not St Louis is able to come up with a viable plan for a new stadium. If they are, the Rams will have a hard time convincing the league that they need to leave. That would mean they stay and the Raiders/Chargers come to Carson. The problem is that the stadium costs are large for the city of St Louis and there's already a fear of running over the already large budget.

I think most likely it's the Rams and Chargers in Inglewood starting next year.
