    Dirk's goal to overtake Wilt.
    Barnes worth $90 million?
Curry, Anderson, Powell and Serj. What's their potential , and do we want to trade one or more?
Draft pick picks. Needs and where will we land.
Thoughts on the long contract of Wed, D Will and JJ.
    and more...

Don't mind me. Just checking out an old video of Kobe.

All seriousness, what is the real story with Kidd, Jackson, and Toni Braxton?

Kidd grew up near me. Little reported story: right after being drafted, he was driving and rolled his vehicle, leaving an injured friend behind, he ran off and wasn't caught. Many believe he was drunk.

But yeah, Toni is no joke.

I hoped for a better supporting cast for Dirk than Kobe had. Not looking great.

@MonsterMash32 what are your thoughts of Barns so far this season.

Most Lakers fans on here wanted him last off season, but didn't think we had much of a chance.

I'm rooting for Dirk to get Wilt. He seems like he could play forever. Heck, why not go for Jabbar?!?!

Barnes worth it? No, of course not, but Cuban was stuck and had to do something. It's not nearly as bad as the Lakers giving Deng 72 over 4.

Despite his garbage Finals, I exited when I heard he was signing. 90 mill but we have him til 2020. What hurts is that we have Wes at 18 million til 19, and that contract is a big mistake as is Powell at 9 million per til 19 as well. We've got JJ and Harris on the books for a few years too. With Dirk at $25 million and D Will at 6, we don't have any cap space to sign someone and don't anything of trade value.

Dirk has actually been banged up this year. He's missed over half the season, though has been good since Xmas. He's averaging 13ppg which still higher than any of the active remaining 99 class. His achilles is the big issue right now, so I def don't him playing after next year.

I think the Mavs have been exactly in the position/territory a NBA team doesn't want to be for some years i.e average (except for this season) .

You need to be really bad for a couple of seasons after Dirk retires as I don't see a major FA going to Dallas .

At least you have a top 3 coach ...

We couldn't get anyone with an unselfish superstar that just had an amazing title run, a great coach, an owner willing spend, cap space and a good vet core.

What are your thoughts on Cuban blowing up the championship team so quickly?

I think he overestimated our ability to get Dwight or D Will or another big star. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money JJ (though we ended up doing it anyway?) I thought TC would be deal for the money and length. Butler was a smart move to not pursue him. I wish we would have kept Brewer.

We've been trying band aids ever since. Mayo, Brand, Kaman, Collison, Delonte, Carter, Ellis, Jose, trying to find someone to help Dirk get closer to another ring. Some worked better than others. By the time Wes, Zaza and D Will came, it was too late.

So do answer your question, hindsight is 20/20. I supported the move because it wasn't a Marlin's cost cutting move, we were really trying to get better. I'll never we were lightning a bottle, we beat all the top teams at full health. But Miami, OKC or SA were much better in 12. We had to try something.

I've still been rather impressed with how quickly he has been able to reload constantly and be competitive. Having a willing owner and a great coach are huge parts to the equation.

That was an off the court news then. No TMZ at the time. The Three J's they were called (including Mashburn)...Cleamons was the coach coming of Jackson's staff who tried to implement the Tri offense. Didn't last long.

The Mavs...forever grateful they denied James one more ring.

Dirk has been bulletproof for so long. I'd hate to see him go through what happened with Kobe toward the end. That was brutal.
