Could The Lakers Bring Tom Thibodeau As Their Next Head Coach?

The Chicago Bulls and Tom Thibodeau sound like they’re about to end their marriage, after nearly five years together. But, even if that happens, it’s not like “Thibs” is going to be single for long!

Sure, Thibodeau is known as being a bit nuts on the sidelines and really hard on his players.

But he wins games, plain and simple. In his first year as Bulls head coach, his team won 62 games — tying the record for wins by a rookie head coach.

In the 2012-13 season, despite missing star Derrick Rose for the entire year, the Bulls won 45 games, finishing second in the Central Division (behind the Indiana Pacers).

Would the Lakers fire Byron Scott after just one season to bring “Thibs” in? It’s a tough call.

The Lakers were a terrible defensive team last season (yes, they had little to no talent on the floor), and Thibodeau is one of the best defensive coaches in basketball — his Bulls teams have always been in the top...

Kobe Bryant has been both praised and criticized for his leadership style over the years, though his ability to win championships can often negate the latter. When discussing leadership in an interview with NBA TV back in February, Bryant emphasized the importance of holding people accountable for their actions, even though it can be a very “uncomfortable” situation.

Bryant also admitted that “leadership is lonely,” stating that a good leader has to come to terms with accepting that they are not going to please everyone around them. Bryant’s leadership style has of course evolved over the years, and at a recent charity gala, Bryant revealed who it was that challenged him to be a great leader, the moment he stepped foot in Los Angeles.
